World's Best Oil Filter July 14, 2007 Jose Correa (Doral, Florida, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Heavy-duty construction, Sturdy 1" wrench nut that makes oil filter removal quick and easy, Resin-impregnated filter media provides maximum filtering surface for contaminant removal, Anti-drainback valve eliminates dry starts, prevents oil from draining back into crankcase during engine shutdown, makes this filter very reliable. I recommend it.
k&n oil filter August 3, 2008 CAD (Philadelphia, PA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've used k&n air filters for years - so why not try their oil filters? They work wonderully. I drive a 2000 Honda Prelude SH and the oil filter is located on the back of the engine in such a position that the oil in the filter drips all down the back of the engine block upon removal with normal filters - not with the k&n!! Only a few drops now drip down, what a difference.
It's made by K&N, what else do you need to know? December 3, 2007 Christopher E. Weller K&N filter products are without compromise some of the most effective filters on the retail market. The DIY mechanic will like the hex head on the top of the filter which makes R&R very easy. You can spend less but if you want your car to last you a while, go with K&N. Every car I've owned in the last four years has had K&N air and oil filters. My current daily driver, a Lincoln 4.6L 32V has 166,000 miles on it with the help of good filtration of the air and oil from K&N. Costs more and worth it.
K&N is the best September 9, 2009 F. Stroni (NJ) This filter is "upgrade" for my car and it helped me gain some oil pressure over all but most noticeable on idle after some driving usually it goes below 30psi but with this filter its stays around 32psi which is good.
Great for 7500 miles oil change interval November 8, 2009 O. Flores (Costa Rica) I change the oil of my Accord every 7500 miles, so I decided to use a quality filter to match quality oil. The K&N HP-1004 filter was the chosen one. It is a high flow filter, heavy-duty construction and a convenient 1" wrench nut for ease removal. Please do not use Bosch, STP or Supertech in your Honda. They should be ok for 3000 miles, but your car does not deserve them for 7500 mi oil changes.
If you do not like K&N, consider using Mobil 1 oil filters.
